Frequently Asked Questions
Can we see your birds year 'round?
Yes – through Personal Tours! Plus we are very active in and around Door County and other parts of Wisconsin, at public events with some of our raptors. Check out our EVENTS CALENDAR page for where you can find us next.
General Admission Raptor Saturdays, gates open 10:30am-4pm, Sept 5, and then monthly starting with Nov 21 and Dec 5. NOTE: We do not book tours on Raptor Saturday, except Dec 5th.
NOTE: We do not allow pets kept in cars or on a leash at the sanctuary.
Can I bring my pet to ODBS?
We love animals, but dogs especially can be construed as scary to our birds and we don’t want any animal left in a hot car so unfortunately, no, pets may not be brought to ODBS while you are enjoying a tour or Raptor Saturday.
Is there an admission fee?
Yes, our minimal admission fee helps feed our raptors. The ticket prices for adults: $12 • Ages 5-12: $7 • Under 5: FREE!
Do you offer memberships?
Yes! We have various membership levels, that includes free admission! We have single and family memberships available, see our GET INVOLVED page for more information.
Do you offer personal tours?
Absolutely! We LOVE giving personal tours for 1+ people. Get up close and personal and learn more about each of our raptors. Go to our EVENTS CALENDAR page for more information.
Can I volunteer to help?
Of course! There are many opportunities to volunteer at Open Door Bird Sanctuary! We need volunteers for land stewardship, educators for both off-site & on-site programs, the Raptor Team, and the construction team. Email us at volunteers@opendoorbirdsanctuary.org for more information.
